FOLCH

Metalúrgica Folch is a historic family-owned Spanish company located in Montbrió del Camp, Tarragona. Established in 1924, Folch is the only pin manufacturer in Spain and one of the last in Europe. The company specializes in producing high-quality pins made of stainless steel, brass, and mild steel, catering to various industries, including fashion, crafts, and hobbies.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Metalúrgica Folch, I developed a unique design for collectible metal pin boxes. The goal was to create an attractive, colorful, and memorable design.

In this project, I was responsible for designing the new collectible metal boxes for pins. The main objective was to create a design that would be visually appealing and resonate with the aesthetic preferences of the company’s target audience.

Based on the client's brief, the design was intended to be bright, cute, and easy to understand, given the limited surface area (a circle with a diameter of 55-60 mm). I focused on floral motifs to make the design delicate and appealing. Although the brief suggested adding pins and the wild boar—an emblem of one of Folch's famous pin lines—I chose to emphasize floral patterns to maintain a clean and attractive look. This decision helped create a cohesive and charming design that draws attention to the product while staying true to the company's heritage.

By selecting a joyful and playful color palette, the design aligns with the company’s image and appeals to the intended audience. The result is a beautiful, functional product that celebrates the rich history of Metalúrgica Folch and attracts new customers.
